He is world-renowned as one of the pioneers in Minimally Invasive Surgery or Laparoscopic Surgical Procedures. Over the years, he has developed and standardized many unique techniques of his own, which are now diligently followed worldwide.
He did the first laparoscopic hysterectomy in 1992, only three years after the first laparoscopic hysterectomy in the world was documented in 1989. Over the past 25 years, he has done more than 60,000 laparoscopic surgeries including over 25,000 laparoscopic hysterectomies. He is a visiting laparoscopic surgeon at various institutes in India and abroad (Malaysia, Sri Lanka, UAE, Bangladesh & Pakistan). He introduced laparoscopy in many states in India.

She began her business career with the Medlace Group of Companies, which included Medlace, Medlace Disposables and Concern India.
In a journey that started 19 years ago, with Medlace, her first company, Ms. Parveen Hafeez currently heads the finance department & administration, a key role within the well-diversified organization of Sunrise, comprising of a multi-speciality hospital chain and medical supplies companies.
