This scan is typically performed between 6 to 10 weeks of pregnancy to confirm the viability of the pregnancy, establish gestational age, and identify multiple pregnancies. It helps in detecting the heartbeat and overall structure of the embryo.

Conducted between 11 and 13 weeks

A scan assesses the risk of Down syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities by measuring the clear space in the tissue at the back of the baby's neck.

This screening combines the NT scan with blood tests to evaluate the risk of specific chromosomal conditions. It provides early insights into the health of the fetus and can guide further diagnostic testing.

Also known as the anomaly scan, performed between 18 and 22 weeks, this detailed ultrasound examines the fetus for structural abnormalities, growth, and the health of the organs. Fetal Echocardiography This specialized ultrasound is performed to assess the heart of the fetus, usually around 18-24 weeks. It is used to diagnose congenital heart defects and ensure the proper development of the fetal heart.

This technique measures the flow of blood through the umbilical artery, brain, and heart using sound waves. It helps assess fetal health, particularly in cases of poor growth or complications.

Conducted in the third trimester, this scan monitors fetal growth, the amount of amniotic fluid, and overall fetal well-being. It ensures that the fetus is developing at a healthy rate.

These are invasive diagnostic tests that involve sampling amniotic fluid (Amniocentesis) or placental tissue (Chorionic Villus Sampling) to detect chromosomal and genetic disorders.

This procedure is used in multiple pregnancies when there is a risk to the health of the mother or the viability of one or more fetuses. It reduces the number of fetuses to decrease risk factors.

Also known as cordocentesis, this involves taking a blood sample from the umbilical cord to check for genetic conditions, infections, and blood issues.

This includes a variety of tests such as the NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing) which analyses fetal DNA from the mother's blood to predict the risk of chromosomal abnormalities without risk to the fetus.
